**Position Summary**:
Manage the Methanex NZ reception, promoting a professional and friendly atmosphere to all internal and external customers.****

Provide administration support to the contractor onboarding process to ensure contract workers are onboarded efficiently and effectively and in compliance with Methanex NZ systems and procedures.

**Position Responsibilities**:

- Provide a high-quality professional and friendly reception service by way of the telephone switchboard, document control and reception desk, ensuring a tidy and positive first impression for the company.
- Ensure the telephone systems are always available and liaise with service providers (internal and external) to ensure prompt servicing response.
- Manage the switchboard and access system during plant emergencies and run evacuation reports in emergency situations.
- Coordinate the mail service, including franking machines, distribution and collection.
- Provide effective courier services including packaging of outgoing items and callout to courier companies.
- Manage employee, contractor and visitor access, ensuring appropriate processes have been followed.
- Enter employee induction request forms and contractor qualifications post-induction into the contractor database.
- Maintain record alignment between the contractor database and the access security system.
- Provide proactive reporting to contract companies on induction records.
- Adhere to appropriate standards and guidelines, ensuring all work complies with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders to increase business understanding and role efficiency.
- Provide support for work overflow to other administrators within Methanex New Zealand.

**Position Qualifications**:

- NCEA or equivalent
- Previous experience in an administration position of high responsibility, as well as a public facing role
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
- Ability to work autonomously and manage own time
- Ability to be adaptable, flexible and to work under pressure
- Ability to maintain utmost confidentiality
- Ability to represent the company and present a professional image
