**H2R are currently looking for a talented Senior Assurance Advisor.**

This is a permanent position within a Wellington based Government organisation. Join their small, fun, professional and experienced team, where collaboration is key to their success. The team work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and receive a high level of support in the functions they perform.

**Important info**:

- Perm role
- Wellington based
- WFH is flexable (2-3 days)
- Rem: $100,000 - $115,000 base plus KS

**The role involves**:

- Lead the delivery of internal audit, assurance, and advisory
engagements
- Work with the wider Assurance team to deliver the internal audit
and assurance work plan to time and quality standards
operations / processes to enable delivery of activities outlined in
the internal audit and assurance work plan
assurance activity to ensure that work is appropriately focussed
- Identify and communicate issues raised, offering effective
solutions relevant to the business
- Ensure conclusions are based on a complete understanding of
the process, circumstances, and risk
- Identify sensitive issues and facilitate communications in a
proactive manner to avoid surprises.
- Provide specialist advice and support to managers and staff
- Understand the strategic context of the organisation and be able
to link this to internal audit and assurance activities
- Develop, deliver and embed the our assurance frameworks, policies and tools
- Support reporting to the independent Risk and Assurance
Committee of the organisation.
- Maintain expert knowledge to help the organisation improve its
systems, processes and initiatives
- Work collaboratively to support key Assurance projects and
share information.

**Required**:

- A member of a relevant professional body is desirable
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, or knowledge gained through relevant experience.
