Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Manager who is passionate about delivering APIs, improving our platforms, and developing the team and culture. You will be joining our Data & Digital team and help drive the development of our API products while ensuring our systems are scalable and reliable.
As the leader of our Integration practice and platforms, you'll have the exciting responsibility of developing, managing, and operating our integration services. You'll lead product and programme engagement, delivery, and provide support to our talented Integration Delivery teams with building new integration services that align with Te Whatu Ora priorities. Your expertise will be critical in ensuring that we deliver value to our clients, and you'll be a vital member of our leadership team.

You'll be a true expert when it comes to integration technologies and platforms. But that's just the beginning. We're also looking for someone who knows how to lead a team, communicate effectively, and deliver results.
Your leadership skills will inspire and motivate your team to work together, and you will have the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders, ensuring the success of Te Whatu Ora Products.
**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**:
- A relevant graduate and/or post-graduate qualification.
- Seasoned experience in a similar ICT leadership role within a large and complex organisation with a background in ICT management including working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong technical background in development, deployment and operations using modern DevOps and agile methodologies.
- Experience leading or working closely with PMOs.
- Continuous improvement mindset, seeking out innovative technologies and methods to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and encourage teams in an environment of change, financial prudence and an increasing level of digital maturity across the organisation.
- Proven relationship building skills and well-developed communication skills.
- Proven ability in managing suppliers and vendors.
- Demonstrated ability to work under tight timeframes and manage competing priorities while remaining resilient under pressure.
Previous work experience in government or the health sector and experience using ITIL methodology or a Project Management qualification would be desirable for success in this role.

- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a willingness to learn and grow.
