We're working towards specific goals and targets that highlight our intent to work collaboratively with iwi and communities, other government sectors and business partners to deliver 'Our Business' and achieve long-term change. **Intelligence Supervisor: Gang Harm Insights Centre** - **Based at the Fusion Hub, Lambton Quay, Wellington**: - **Band J**: - **Office of Constable/Police Employee**: - **Permanent - Full Time**: - **NAV**: - **JR 5326897** **Mo te tunga | About the role** The Gang Harm Insights Centre are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Supervisor responsible for leading a team made up of Intelligence and Insights practitioners, and community engagement roles, from a range of government agencies. The Gang Harm Insights Centre is a multi-agency team, hosted by New Zealand Police. The Gang Harm Insights Centre sits in the Fusion Centre, alongside the National Drug Intelligence Bureau, and Transnational Organised Crime FC. As the Supervisor of the Gang Harm Insights Centre you will be responsible for working with the current Supervisor and Manager, in leading the team to deliver on its purpose; a holistic understanding of the harm being caused by, to, and within our New Zealand Adult Gang community, enabling the identification of prevention and intervention opportunities. **Key Accountabilities**: - Provide day to day leadership and direction of the team. - Engage positively with internal and external stakeholders, agencies and community groups. - Manage priorities, competing demands and implement strategies to mitigate service delivery risk. - Plan, coordinate and deploy resources to maximise effectiveness. - Maintain a positive team culture, which celebrates diversity and inclusiveness. **He aha taau e kawe mai | What you'll bring** Whilst we are looking for skills, knowledge and experience relevant to the role, we also place high importance on your state of mind, the alignment of your values with ours, your ability to contribute to and build high performing teams, and the way that you lead yourself or others. - Demonstrate positive leadership that can inspire and motivate others to succeed. - Demonstrate successful management of competing priorities and demands. - Identify and support development and improvement activities to enhance the team and work outputs and encourage diversity of thought. - Demonstrate ability to work collaboratively at all levels (internally and externally) to achieve desired outcomes. - Demonstrate ability to identify, build and maintain effective relationships with a broad range of internal stakeholders. - Demonstrate ability to work in a diverse and agile environment. - Demonstrate ability to effectively communicate with our people, partners and community. - Demonstrate ability to think strategically, conceptually, and evidence big picture thinking. - Previous experience in engaging with community groups, and gang whanau would be advantageous Previous supervisory experience (ideally within the field of Intelligence) - Knowledge and experience of best practice intelligence processes. - Experience with supporting a team in high pressure environments whilst delivering high quality outputs. **Whakaritenga motuhake | Special requirements** - For both Constabulary Police Employees: - Agree to enrol in a leadership programme at the advertised level, at a future date **or**: - This role is based in the Wellington area. The minimum criteria for this level of national security clearance is: NZ Citizen who has resided continuously in NZ for the last **10** years, or: - A Permanent Resident who has resided continuously in NZ for the last **10** years, or - A citizen of or has resided continuously in one or more of the following countries **for the last 10** **years**: Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, or United States of America, and has a background that can be verified by the NZSIS.
