**About the role**:
We are seeking an experienced insurance professional looking to take the next steps in their management career in this exciting opportunity as a Group Broking Manager (GBM)
**You will be based in Hamilton, Waikato** and will lead a team of about 3-4 Brokers.

The focus of this role is to deliver expert insurance advice and products to clients to ensure that they are appropriately covered to financially survive any insurable event. The GBM coaches a team to deliver targets as well as effectively servicing a portfolio of clients and developing new business opportunities by delivering exceptional client service and a client focused culture.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and manage exceptional client relationships to deliver an outstanding customer experience
- Generate growth within the existing portfolio and convert new business
- Contribute to mid and short-term business strategy and planning to ensure targets are in line with market trends, regulations and operational processes
- Develop and monitor delivery of retention and profitability (new business, growth) targets for self and the team, to achieve and exceed agreed levels of performance
- Mentor, coach and motivate team members to achieve business targets

**Skills and Experience**
- Proven ability in coaching a team and performance management.
- Proven ability to develop and manage complex client accounts and generate, qualify and close new business opportunities.
- Negotiation skills coupled with the ability to be flexible and innovative.
- Comfortable explaining complex concepts and making recommendations to customers.
- Demonstrated experience of presenting to and building relationships with key decision makers
- A high degree of commercial acumen and experience.
- Complies with FSLAA regarding holding a Certificate in Financial Services (NZQA Level 5).
