**About the job**:
The **Youth Service **team at Community Care Trust are seeking empathetic and positive individuals with a can-do attitude. The role involves supporting Rangatahi to achieve their goals both in their homes and within the community.

Some knowledge of complex trauma and trauma informed care is required although full training will be given. This position offers a positive, varied, and supportive team environment where every day brings new challenges and the opportunity to make a real difference.

A calm, resilient demeanour with the ability and strength to overcome obstacles with respect and professionalism, would be an advantage to securing this position. This is a male only service - a keen interest in the great outdoors, sports, fishing and hunting would be beneficial along with supporting the person to complete general everyday tasks like cooking and maintaining their home.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Building rapport and positive relationships with the people we support.
- Working alongside Rangatahi living with complex trauma to realise their potential.
- Mentoring and Supporting Rangatahi to access the local community and build their Support Network
- Completing competency-based trainings to enhance skills and qualifications.
- Participating in rostered shifts, including one weekend day, with set hours and two permanent consecutive days off per week.

**Requirements**:

- Hold a full current New Zealand driver’s license.
- Be eligible to work in New Zealand
- Hold a current First Aid Certificate (or be willing to complete one at our cost)
- Willingness to undergo vetting as part of the organisation’s commitment to safeguarding children and vulnerable people.
