You’ll be looked after by a great people leader in this great career opportunity, based in Penrose.

**About the role**:
In this newly created role, you’ll be supporting 30 clubs as stakeholders across Auckland with best practice finance. This is a hands-on position with day-to-day finance management, analysis, forecasting and reporting.
Reporting to the Head of Finance and working closely with the Finance team, this role will cover:

- Trend tracking and strategic analysis to help inform decision making for the business
- Risk - working within the parameters of the agreed risk levels - developing, communicating and monitoring risk policies then regular reporting
- Finance management - creating budgets and forecast reporting
- Continuous improvement of financial processes and systems
- Reporting using data visualisation to identify key insights
- Other ad-hoc duties as directed by the Head of Finance

At this stage, the position is a 12-month fixed term contract with the potential to go permanent.

**About you**:To fit into this role and organisation, you’ll be**:

- well versed in accounting with the ability to manage the end-to-end monthly process, budgeting, forecasting and know where to look if something goes wrong
- advanced in Excel
- experienced with Power Bi, Tableau or other data visualisation tools
- very comfortable using Xero as this is the primary system your stakeholders use
- an excellent communicator and able to translate finance into non-finance speak
- adaptable to change and comfortable working outside set processes
- qualified with at least an Accounting degree or similar. You don’t need to be CA
