Manager, Border Assessments

An exciting opportunity, where you will be responsible for the day-to-day performance and delivery of the border assessments function. You and your team will provide security assessments and advice to New Zealand government agencies, ensuring national security threats are identified and providing system assurance.
You will be a committed leader of people not just of function - we are looking for a leader who can inspire and motivate their team and who is focussed on their development.
A key part of your role will be engaging with clients and key stakeholders within the NZSIS, in the New Zealand Intelligence Community and other government agencies, so the ability to build and maintain positive work relationships is essential.
**You will also have**:
- Experience as an intelligence professional
- Sound judgement and initiative in dynamic situations; able to identify and assess risks and threats and make sound operational decisions
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to produce high quality written documentation and presentations
- A commitment to exploring opportunities for continuous improvement
Experience in leading readiness and response activities would also be an advantage.
