**About the position**:
The role of a Kaiāwhina is to assist Kaiako in delivering our Te Ara Reo Māori programme in a proactive, supportive whānau based environment. This role also assists the Kaiako in preparing resources and classrooms, monitoring student attendance, general administration task and student recruitment.
As part of the whānau we will support you in furthering your career in teaching Te Ara Reo Māori.
**About you**:
- The ability to converse in Te Reo Māori at Level 4 minimum
- Have a thorough knowledge of Tikanga Māori at Level 4 minimum.
- At least one year’s experience in a similar role and a Te Reo or Māori studies qualification are essential.
The ideal applicant will be available to work evenings and some weekends.
