Due to our Specialist, Research & Insights taking sabbatical leave, we have a **10-month,** **fixed-term** opportunity for a skilled researcher to lead our qualitative and quantitative research programmes. IAG supports flexible working; this role can be based in either Auckland, Christchurch, or Wellington.

**The Role**

Our Specialist, Research & Insights plays a key role designing, developing and delivering research solutions that embed actionable customer and consumer insights into the heart of our decision making. Supported by our Research & Insights Analyst you’ll work across the business on a variety of projects, and with varied groups of stakeholders from senior leaders to operational teams. No two projects will look exactly the same Drawing on your broad knowledge of research strategies and tools you’ll design research programmes tailored to each project, taking responsibility across all stages from scoping and planning to analysis, presentation and communication of findings and insights.

You’re someone who enjoys building strong relationships across a complex business, and innately understands how to effectively balance competing priorities. You’ll have the confidence to advocate for our customers, provide advice and guidance to internal stakeholders, and manage agency and external consultant relationships. You’ll join IAG’s Research Collective, which is a centre of excellence for our research and insights practitioners across Australia and New Zealand. Throughout you’ll coach and develop our Research & Insights Analyst, championing opportunities for them to learn and grow, and supporting them as they manage and nurture our in-house customer panel.

Your role sits within our experienced Customer Intelligence Team which includes IAG’s customer analytics and insights, brand tracking and voice of customer programmes. You’re someone who sees the opportunities this provides and are driven by a desire to collaborate with colleagues to deliver integrated, cross-functional insights that link the who, where and why to action.

This is a role that blends research, stakeholder partnering and relationship building, coaching and capability building with hands on delivery.

**Your experience & skills**:

- Demonstrated experience in the development and delivery of a range of qualitative and quantitative research projects
- Strong stakeholder engagement & management skills with experience in building proactive partnerships across different levels of a business
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; effective at communicating complex topics clearly and telling compelling, insights-driven customer stories
- Curious, creative, pragmatic and solution-focussed; comfortable with ambiguity
