**The Role**

Working alongside the Design & Innovation Director you will take design ideas & product modifications and using your mechanical engineering knowledge expand on these, designing and providing 3D drawings of access solution products.

Strong communication is required as you will also be a key link between sales functions and manufacturing. Your problem-solving ability will ensure any design challenges are well engineered and be able to monitor them through the manufacturing process to amend and improve where needed. These may be drawings but also electrical, electronic and hydraulic changes.

You will also be working with installers and technicians to assist in solving technical issues that they may have as well as providing technical documentation for the installers and service team.

**Skills and Experience**
- CAD 3D drawing experience.
- Mechanical engineering knowledge. Either formally trained or through time spent in an engineering setting or on the tools.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Self-motivated and proactive.
