About the Role As a vital part of the Business Intelligence Data & Analytics Department, you will be responsible for overseeing the data sourcing processes across the health system. Your role will involve technical development and maintenance of the Data Warehouse for the South Island, ensuring data governance and quality, and delivering high-quality analytics and reports for planning and operational purposes. We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Analyst who can provide timely and accurate reporting and analytical assistance to management and clinicians throughout the district and region. By joining our BI Team, you will leverage your existing skills while further developing them in a stimulating and supportive work environment that encourages a team-based approach. Skills and **Experience**: To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and **qualifications**: - A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., Information Systems, Data Science, Statistics, Health Informatics, Computer Science, etc.). - Proficiency in SQL with some knowledge or experience in Python or R preferred. - Strong skills in reporting tools such as SSRS and Power BI (including Power Query and Dax). - Demonstrated expertise in data manipulation, exploration, visualization, and insight analysis. - Good understanding of data management, data warehousing, or cloud data platforms. - Ability to interpret technical requirements effectively. - Aptitude for producing and designing optimal BI/Data solutions for customers. - Leadership experience and coaching skills, including collaboration, communication, and relationship building.Preference will be Microsoft Power Automate, SharePoint, or Power Platform. Additionally, previous experience in the Health Industry and knowledge of statistics and advanced data analytics (predictive analytics, forecasting, machine learning, data science) will be advantageous.
