New World Matamata are looking for a positive, energetic and reliable person to join our Butchery Team. Someone who is a consistent self-motivated individual who will display high presentation standards, an excellent work ethic and communications skills.

The ability to work in a fast paced environment, with attention to detail is essential. Additional to cutting and producing goods for sale you will be, among other things, delivering great customer service and assisting with enquiries, filling the display case, ensuring temp checks are completed, cleaning to a high standard and maintaining equipment. All whilst adhering to Food Safety, Health and Safety, product presentation and rotation standards, policies and procedures. You will also be required to assist in training and mentoring apprentices.

This is a busy department that requires all hands on deck, a determination to work hard and the will to succeed in a demanding environment. You will need to be physically fit to meet the demands of the job.

This position is full-time; remuneration, days and hours will be discussed at the interview stage, and will include a weekend day and extra hours where the business requires. Flexibility to work non-rostered days is a must.
