We have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Automation Tester to join our International Trade team, within our Cards and Payments domain, and play a key role in delivering safe and sustainable payments. Mō te Tūranga | About the Role We sat down with our Engineering Lead, and they let us know the following about the role. What are 5 day to day tasks the person in this role will complete? - Running regression tests - Testing activities - Automation suite maintenance - Upskilling other testers, and automation testers, across our domain - Partnering with our development team in planning work What is the team culture and environment like? We have a very collaborative, focussed team who enjoy learning. We work in a beautiful nearly-new building, right on the waterfront, with a flexible working environment. There’s a pipeline of ongoing work that you will initially focus on. This will include: - Customer Billing migration - Further enhancing our suite - Influencing our security practices in our team What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this role? Knowledge sharing: Our previous Automation Tester really helped us in how they’d demonstrate the process with us, alongside building the automated tests. We like to share knowledge as a team. Initiative: Being proactive and leading with initiative helps in guiding the work. Partnership: A partnership approach with our team and fellow Automation Testers is key to how we work. What specific tech skills would be beneficial? - Java, Cucumber, Selenium, Managed Jenkins. - Automation principles in general. - Experience maintaining and building on existing great stack and practices.
