Mō te tūnga | About the role
The Business and Finance Advisor will provide financial performance management and business analysis services. You will support the development of and provide financial and non-financial advice to managers in their region financial and non-financial information, financial management, business planning, forecasting and reports.
Specifically the functions this position is accountable for includes:

- Financial Management including forecasting
- Business planning and business case scoping
- Business analysis and reporting
- Facility and property planning
- Facilities and contract monitoring
- You will be based at our Northern Regional Office in Ellerslie with visits to our regional sites as required

To be successful in this varied and challenging role you will be an experienced financial analyst/advisor having worked in a large multifaceted and/or corporate environment. Throughout your career you would have demonstrated;
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, including the proven ability to relate business performance into financial forecasting.
- An ability to work in a business advisory capacity, building strong relationships with key stakeholders and providing them with sound accounting and business advice
- Knowledge and understanding of effective financial management and accounting systems
- Highly developed business acumen with the ability to think at a strategic level
- Being pragmatic with a solutions focus
- Excellence at developing relationships with stakeholders, have a practical approach and demonstrate flexibility and conceptual thinking

In this role you will be self managing so you must be able to work independently, have drive and high energy levels, manage your workload efficiently, and have high personal standards. A relevant tertiary qualification is required and professional membership preferred. The position will require some travel throughout the Region therefore a full NZ driving license is required.
Utu ā-tau | Salary
The full salary band for this position is $96,557 - $136,316 per annum with the midpoint being $113,596 per annum. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
