We are seeking a Kaiako to deliver our **_Toi Maruata - Certificate in Māori & Indigenous Art Level 3_** programme, which involves but is not limited to: developing lesson plans, presenting material to tauira (students), responding to tauira learning needs, and evaluating tauira progress.

You will be responsible for recruiting and inducting tauira, implementing effective teaching and assessment strategies, monitoring academic progress, and maintaining accurate records in accordance with TWoA and NZQA requirements. Creating a collaborative, inclusive and culturally grounded learning environment will be essential to the success of this role.

This is a **_Fixed Term _**_(ending 18 December 2026) _**_Full-time _**_(37.5 hours per_week) position, based out of the **_Te Kuiti _**campus. Some flexibility will be required to work some weekends and evenings.

**Mōu | About you**

Ideally, you will have:

- Diploma in Māori Arts with a focus on Rauangi
- NZ Certificate in Adult Tertiary Teaching Level 5 (NZCATT) or equivalent or be willing to complete in the first year of employment.
- Full and current NZ Driver’s License (Class 1)
- Proven experience in a related role with specific skills and knowledge in Rauangi
- Experience teaching adults

As a kaupapa Māori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga) will be key.
