We are on the lookout for an ambitious Residential Life Manager | Pou Taurima (RLM) to join our UniLodge team at Tupuānuku, Christchurch on a full-time basis. This is a unique opportunity to bring your passion for student wellbeing and development, to a role in which you will oversee our Residential Life and Wellbeing Program at UniLodge Tupuānuku.
As part of a broader Hall Senior Management team, your role is instrumental in promoting and advocating for residential wellbeing, with emphasis on pastoral care and academic matters. You will have the opportunity to develop and organise a holistic calendar of events for residents, to enrich their educational, cultural, and social experience. You will not work alone in your role, as you will be supported by a great team of individuals who are dedicated to delivering a great program and experience for our residents.
**What we need from you**
You will be enthusiastic and intentional in creating a holistic environment for student growth. You will oversee the end-to-end residential experience for the hall, including developing the cultural narrative and biculturalism programme in our hall. To support you in the design and delivery of programs it is essential that you demonstrate the ability to understand the complexities of university life, and operational aspects of residential living. Living in an unfamiliar environment can be a daunting and challenging experience for anyone. You will be someone our residents can confide in to support them with pastoral care matters; and a warm and friendly individual who has the ability to provide support in challenging situations. Ideally you will have experience in a similar role, with a focus on leadership, wellbeing, and mental health.
You will have experience leading teams, and developing supportive environments. Previous work in University settings is desirable but not essential.
Our mandatory requirements include:
