We have an exciting opportunity available to join our Albany based Support Centre as **Health, Safety & Wellbeing Business Partner.**

As a key member of our People team, you will collaborate with the Head of Health, Safety, and Wellbeing to shape and champion a robust culture of good HSW practices. This position plays a pivotal role in driving continual improvement in performance across our Support Centre and the wider Mitre 10 cooperative.

**Reporting to the Head of Health, Safety & Wellbeing your key functions will include**:

- Be a trusted coach and partner for business owners and leaders across our store network, enabling them to manage a varied range of health and safety related matters successfully.
- Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of HSW management system in line with legislative changes, user feedback, industry trends and good practice to the AS/NZS 45001 standard.
- Assist Support Centre teams to ensure that HSW is aligned and embedded into overall business plans and processes to ensure risk reduction and worker participation, legal compliance and continual improvement in performance.
- Provide positive leadership, driving and championing an organisational culture that supports the HSW strategy.
- Where appropriate, deliver or facilitate health, safety and wellbeing training for stakeholders.
- Support the development and implementation of a cooperative wide process for managing critical risks.

**To be successful in this role, you will have**:

- Minimum of 3+ years health and safety experience, working in a similar industry or complex environment.
- Extensive knowledge of NZ Health & Safety legislation, best practice and international trends.
- Enthusiasm and passion to drive continual improvement.
- Collaborative by nature, consulting and working with others to achieve desired outcomes.
- Working knowledge of AS/NZ 45001 and AS/NZS 45003 standards and experience maintaining standards in a complex organisation.
