- Salary ranges from $80,592 to $96,482 per annum Tēnei tūranga - About the role: The role integrates strategic and hands-on management of the Digital, Data & Insights contract management activities. Reporting to the Principal Commercial and Contracts Manager as part of the Digital, Data & Insights (DDI) branch.

As the Commercial and Contract Manager you will be supported by a high performing team, to develop your skills further and take responsibility for contracts that have been identified for specialist management attention.

You will manage ICT suppliers through the supplier life cycle from contract negotiation to contract end.

Additionally, you may be involved in a range of activities including monitoring performance, costs and contract compliance and providing recommendations that focus on improving supplier performance, value-for-money and/or deriving savings.

**The Commercial and Contract Manager will**:

- manage commercial activities assigned to them in the Commercial Pipeline.
- proactively manage contract change and ensure MBIE are compliant.
- identify risks and issues, lead the implementation of mitigations.
- manage expectations with key stakeholders both internally and externally.
- escalate and manage disputes.
- drive savings through rationalisation and optimisation of those arrangements. Ngā pukenga me ngā wheako e hiahiatia ana - Skills and experience required:
Must have
- Valid work rights in New Zealand.
- Excellent Communication skills both written and verbal.
- Eagerness to learn and ability to work as part of the team.
- At least 1 years’ experience in Contract Management or the should have’s below.

**Should have - experience in either**:

- ICT Experience - Any ICT experience is helpful. Whether worked for an IT Supplier on bids, or were involved in licences.
- Great attention to detail and the ability to work under tight timeframes.
- Specific Procurement/Contract Management experience for an year.
- Planning for and delivering commercial outcomes.
- Contract Management activities.
- Negotiation skills - preferably external stakeholder focused (i.e., supplier/customer).
- Specific IT experience working for a New Zealand Supplier.
- Government procurement or contract management experience.
- a high-level of communication and relationship management skills is i.e., comfortable collaborating across all levels of the organisation.
