As an intelligence professional in the NZ Police this will be your focus every day. Intelligence is an indispensable enabler for NZ Police, producing approximately 50,000 products each year. Some products are short and tactically focussed, supporting day-to-day decision making, while products are more in-depth with a longer-term focus to inform the development of long-term operational plans and organisational strategy. The Canterbury District Intelligence Unit is looking for an individual to join their team as an Intelligence Analyst. We require someone who is self-motivated, innovative, inquisitive, committed to excellence, resilient, and firmly focussed on enabling our frontline and enhancing decision-making in NZ Police. **About the team** The Canterbury District Intelligence Unit provides direct support to tactical, operational, and strategic Police decision-making, to prevent crime and harm at a district level. Our team provides forward thinking insights into the nature of crime and harm by identifying trends, and forecasting future threats, risks, and opportunities.
