Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
Toitū Te Whenua is a dedicated public service organisation committed to delivering essential services and looking after New Zealand's whenua, moana and arawai. We are seeking a Hoa Kotui Pakihi Matua / Senior Business Partner - Commercial, who will design, lead, guide, and contribute to the procurement planning, sourcing and managing of goods and services for Toitū Te Whenua to deliver great outcomes, achieve public value and manage risk. You will provide advice and guidance to your internal stakeholders and will be seen as a trusted advocate for strategic procurement and commercial standards & practices and their role in driving organisational effectiveness.
In this role you have the opportunity to work on diverse procurement projects to challenge and develop your skills and experience. We are also looking for the right person to increase engagement with Māori suppliers by leading our Supplier Diversity Strategy implementation plan.

- Partner with the business to deliver procurement activities that enable great outcomes and public value
- Identify procurement risks and opportunities and develop sourcing strategies
- Proactively lead end-to-end procurement activities of a complex nature
- Implement organisation-wide Supplier Diversity Strategy
- Identify and lead continuous improvement activities
- Guide your stakeholders on best practice supplier relationship and contract management
- Support commercial capability development

The salary range for this role is $125,000 to $140,000 dependant on experience. This role is based in our Wellington offices.
