**The Role**

We are excited to announce that our Platform Services team in Christchurch is growing, and we are actively seeking a friendly and professional team member to join us Our team serves both external customers and internal business functions, and we are dedicated to delivering awesome technology.

As part of our Christchurch-based software engineering teams, you'll work with like-minded developers in the US and Canada who take pride in their work. We are a relaxed yet fast-paced team, committed to maintaining our reputation for uptime and reliability, while also working on proactive operational metrics and data-focused design.

We strongly believe in continuous improvement for our platforms and operational support, and you'll have the opportunity to share information and learn from your mistakes, seeking and acting on feedback for constant improvement. We are looking for someone who is passionate about technology and thrives in a team environment.

**In this role, you will have the opportunity to**:

- Develop, test, deploy, monitor, and support code that is built to be robust
- Breakdown complex problems and understand requirements
- Raise and review pull requests
- Influence the customer outcome and support developed solutions long term
- Flex your system integration muscle
- Utilise a range of technologies across a varied set of systems with a 'best tool for the job' mindset

**Generally, if our team is spinning up a new code base it may look like the following**:

- A service or serverless function, written in Python, Java or C#
- Based on a variety of AWS services
- Deployed via an automated CI/CD toolchain and infrastructure as code
- Monitored by alerting and logging tools (e.g., Datadog)
