We're currently seeking a motivated and dynamic **Full-Time Retail Assistant** to join our team

**The Role**

We're looking for a dedicated **Retail Assistant** who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and is committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences. This is a full-time role (32 hours minimum per week), with one weekend day required as part of your schedule. If you have proven retail experience and a passion for outdoor adventures, this is your opportunity to join a supportive and energetic team.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Store Operations**
- Deliver exceptional customer service and build long-lasting relationships with our customers.
- Address customer queries, complaints, and feedback in a positive and professional manner.
- Merchandise, restock shelves, and ensure all products are visually appealing and appropriately ticketed with current pricing.
- Implement store layout changes as directed by the Store Manager.
- Operate computerised tills, accept payments (cash, credit/debit, vouchers), and ensure accurate reconciliation at the end of the day.
- Assist with picking and dispatching online store orders when required.
- Maintain a clean and tidy store environment at all times.
- Participate in stocktakes, including investigating variances and recounts as necessary.

**Operational Management**
- Assist with training and upskilling of new and existing team members, ensuring they are confident in products, systems, and processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve retail operations and suggest enhancements to policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

**Order Management**
- Handle special customer orders for non-stocked items when appropriate.
- Support the delivery and receipting of retail stock orders and associated tasks.

**Promotions**
- Execute in-store promotions, including setting up product displays, features, or signage as outlined in the RVSC marketing calendar.
- Support off-site trade shows and expos as organised by Management.

**General**
- Participate in the thl Health and Safety program, ensuring incidents, accidents, or near misses are reported within 24 hours.
- Assist at expos, shows, and other off-site events.
- Take on additional duties as directed by Management.
