**Job Description**:
**He aha tau mahi? - What will you do?**
We're looking for a _Pipeline Technician - Corrosion/Integrity_ to join our talented and easy going Firstgas team. This is a role for someone with a can-do attitude, who knows a little about the industry and is keen to learn and develop. The role will lead you across the North Island, so you'll need to be comfortable with travelling around our beautiful country and working out of your work vehicle.

Roll your sleeves up and get ready to utilise your specialist technical knowledge to ensure the ongoing integrity of our pipelines. You can expect to undertake a range of field services including:

- Complete pipeline locating with pipe locator and supervise excavations.
- Perform direct inspection of in-service pipelines.
- Facilitate non-destructive testing (NDT) of pipeline damage and assist with pipeline repairs activities including composite and/or coating repairs.
- Collaborate with a range of stakeholders both internal and external, including contractors, landowners and the general public.

This role would suit someone who has some experience in aspects of the above but who is looking to develop themselves further. The role will give you great exposure to the breath and width of an exciting and evolving industry - we are looking for the right person, and we are willing to train that person.

**Qualifications**:

- 3+ years field experience in the pipeline/petrochemical industry.
- Knowledge of pipelines/process piping integrity, corrosion prevention, cathodic protection (CP) and/or NDT.
- Self-management skills with a focus on work prioritisation and planning
- A commitment to safety - it’s our priority, and will need to be yours
- Excellent relationship management skills
- A willingness to learn, develop and share knowledge
- Confident using MS Office
