Our leading-edge water treatment, reticulation, construction and maintenance capabilities keep New Zealand's cities running around the clock. We are seeking an experienced Drainlayer to join our dedicated and talented drainage team in Auckland

In this role, you will:

- Lay and repair sewage and storm water drains
- Install and repair wastewater treatment systems.
- Consult with clients and external trades people about where the drains or wastewater treatment systems are to be laid or repaired, this is especially important in regards to underground services.
- Any other drainage work that may require the assistance of a drainlayer
- Operate machinery such as excavators and backhoes
- Dig trenches and lay pipes
- Connect drainage systems to existing sewer systems
- Test drainage systems for proper functioning

**About you**:
Ideally, you can demonstrate previous experience in maintaining storm water and/or wastewater (sewer) systems or experience within the construction and utilities industry.

You will be physically fit, health and safety focused, able to work well in a team as well as independently, and have a pro-active hands-on approach to things.

**Skills & Experience**
- You will hold at least a class 1 full driver license and have a proven health & safety track record.
- You will have at least 2 years experience in drainage with a strong work ethic and can-do attitude.
- This is a customer focused role so you must enjoy working with the public and wider community.
