Social & Partnerships Lead / Shop & Admin Coordinator (Or Both)
We’re on the lookout for an all-rounder (or two) to help grow and support Wild Things.
This is a flexible, contract-based role (or roles) with hours and rate to be discussed based on the final shape of the job. If you’re a nature-loving, community-building, shop-running, content-creating dynamo, this might be the perfect gig.
**What You’ll Be Doing**:
- Member Growth & Socials_
- Develop and execute social strategies to grow our member community
- Plan, post, and report on social media activity
- Manage social media advertising and paid member acquisition campaigns
- Jump in for ad hoc social content as needed
- Work on creative campaigns to increase engagement, membership sign-ups, and brand visibility
- This role could fit within either the admin & support side or the business development side, depending on your strengths and interests
- Business Development & Partnerships_
- Create and nurture business partnerships that align with Wild Things’ mission
- Collaborate with partners on cross-promotions, sponsorships, and joint initiatives
- Identify and reach out to potential sponsors and partners to expand our community
- Customer Admin, Support & General Administration_
- Moderate our social spaces to keep them friendly and fun
- Handle other general administrative tasks as needed to support the smooth running of the business
- Shop & Fulfilment (Requires Local Presence in Downtown Tauranga)_
- Pack and send out orders from our downtown Tauranga office
- Add new products to our shop and keep listings fresh
- Manage stock levels and ordering
(Note: While much of the other work can be done remotely, shop fulfilment requires you to be local and able to come into our office at least some of the time.)
- Content & Publishing_
- Help create and edit our Trails & Peak publications
- Write engaging blog posts, news updates, and newsletters
**Who You Are**:
- A self-starter who’s happy wearing multiple hats (or a specialist keen to take on part of the role)
- Experienced in social media strategy and community engagement
- Familiar with e-commerce, fulfilment, and stock management (or willing to learn)
- A solid communicator who enjoys writing and content creation
- Has epic attention to detail
- Happy working independently but also as part of a friendly, outdoorsy team
When you reach out, tell us:
- Why this role is a great fit for you, and which parts suit you best
- Which parts might not be the best fit for you
- How you can make Wild Things a better place for all of our members and wider community
- Your location and general availability, so we can determine if the shop fulfilment schedule works for you
**Job Types**: Subcontract, Casual
Application Question(s):
- Why this role is a great fit for you, and which parts suit you best?
- Which parts might not be the best fit for you?
- How you can make Wild Things a better place for all of our members and wider community?
- Let us know your location and general availability, so we can determine if the shop fulfilment schedule works for you.
**Location**:
- Tauranga, Bay of Plenty (preferred)
Work Location: In person
