We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Educator
- Gynaecology. We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Clinical Nurse Educator to join our team.
This is a fixed term position for 12 months 0.6 FTE
This role is critical in ensuring and maintaining essential nursing knowledge and standards of safe quality care. Educators lead the implementation of nursing education, change and practice development across the various services and develop the competency of the current and future nursing workforce. This is achieved through developing, implementing and evaluating orientation, on-going education plan/programmes. The clinical component of the role is to provide professional leadership and role modelling by working with staff to demonstrate practice excellence and to meet quality and safety standards of care

There is a strong team focus in 4 North Gynaecology, and the Registered Nurses work closely together alongside our medical staff to provide a person/whanau centered approach. Our team are passionate and knowledgeable, who are committed to giving our patients the best experience they can on their journey. We are supportive and encouraging of our staff learning and facilitate where possible.
4 North Gynaecology has 14 beds and a treatment room where patients come after hours for assessment, planning of care and are either admitted or discharged home.
We specialise in Gynaecology, Uro-Gynaecology, Gynaecology-Oncology, pregnancy up to 20 weeks and post natal after 12 days.

- Registered NZ nurse with current APC
- Team player qualities essential and so is a 'can do' attitude
- Teaching/mentoring experience in a clinical setting
- Demonstrates commitment to clinical education
- Expert/Senior PDRP level an advantage
- Prostgraduate nursing education would be an advantage
- Demonstration of recent clinical competency
- Shows cultural sensitivity and safe practice
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills
