About the Role (your why)
Our Intelligent Workspace team is dedicated to transforming how our customers and support teams work by leveraging automation, intelligent tools, and modern workplace solutions. As a Senior Automation Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions that streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the user experience within our clients’ workplace environments both internal and external. You will be key in shaping the automation team by identifying opportunities, developing the processes, designing and implementing solutions, mentoring colleagues, and evaluating suitable tools to help drive innovation for the team and to deliver the best outcome for both internal and external customers.

What you’ll do
- Lead the design and delivery of automation solutions that revolutionise workplace processes and streamline IT service delivery
- Collaborate with internal and external customers to uncover opportunities for efficiency and innovation—including integration with AI models and large language models (LLMs).
- Develop advanced scripts, integrations, and automation workflows using the latest cloud platforms and automation tools.
- Mentor and inspire colleagues, sharing your expertise to elevate our Intelligent Workspace solutions.
- Drive alignment across technical teams to ensure automation projects support our broader workplace strategy.
- Champion best practices and provide technical guidance and training on automation tools and processes.

What you’ll bring
**Required Experience**:
- Proven experience designing and implementing process automation solutions within a workplace or IT environment.
- Strong capabilities with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, RPA platforms).
- Experience integrating systems and workflows within Microsoft 365 or comparable enterprise environments.
- Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver automation projects.
- Proven experience in driving continuous improvement initiatives, with a track record of identifying and implementing enhancements to workflows, systems, or processes. Demonstrates precision and thoroughness in execution, ensuring high-quality outcomes through strong attention to detail.
**Desired Experience**:
- Familiarity with Modern Work concepts, including modern device management, digital collaboration tools, and end-user computing.
- Experience with Azure infrastructure and services including Logic Apps, Log Analytics and Azure Key Vault.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, including the design, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines and code repositories, ensuring efficient, secure, and scalable software delivery practices.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow, ITSM tools, or workflow automation platforms.
- Industry certifications relevant to automation and/or modern workplace solutions.
