As a Radiology Clinical Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting an X-ray service in delivering quality patient care for our patients and whanau.

**A typical day as a Radiology Clinical Assistant can include**:

supporting the Medical Imaging Technologists (Radiographers)

transporting and moving patients

*
undertaking administrative duties

*
maintaining an effective workflow and working environment in key Radiology service areas

*
restocking of supplies

*
maintaining a clean and safe environment

*
other such duties that will assist with the smooth running of the department

Tokoroa Hospital is part of Te Whatu Ora Waikato and is located centrally in the North Island of New Zealand. Tokoroa boasts a natural beauty of pine trees, forestry, and rolling green hills of dairy farming. Rotorua, Taupo, Ruapehu skifields, and Tauranga beaches are all easily accessible within a 1 - 1 ½ hour drive. Here you can access some of the most exhilarating outdoor activities ranging from lake, river and mountain activities, snow skiing, hunting, trout fishing, glowworm caves and rafting.

The South Waikato is rapidly growing region, there are a variety of new large industrial operations being built and new housing developments in construction in both Tokoroa and Putaruru. Affordable housing in rural communities makes this ideal for a whole family relocation.

Tokoroa Hospital has a 17 bed inpatient unit, a busy emergency department, a four bed primary birthing unit, outpatients department serviced by visiting specialists and a number of community services. GP practices and other health providers are co-located on the site. This role will be based in the Radiology (X-ray) Department at Tokoroa Hospital.

Full registration with the New Zealand Medical Radiation Technologist Board with a general scope of practice and a current practising certificate

Excellent communication and time management skills

Administrative and computer skills

Experience working in a NZ health care setting and/or working with people in a care environment is very desirable
