As a Trainee in this area you will be utilising your existing experience and knowledge while working and learning towards becoming a qualified Power Technician.
- You will receive training to provide technical management and delivery of high voltage substation works safely, positively, effectively and efficiently.
- The role is based out of our Rotorua depot and reports to the Power Technician Group Team Leader.**What we’re offering**

**Who we’re looking for**
To be considered for this role you’ll need to hold a current practising licence along with strong knowledge of relevant Codes of Practice, Policies, Standards, Work Procedures, and not to mention a current NZ Drivers licence. Experience in Transpower Substations and associated competencies would be preferable.
- You will need to demonstrate the following:

- Proven technical experience in the high voltage substation environment- Ability to show initiative and demonstrate a level of professionalism
- Great verbal and written communication skills, with basic technology knowledge
- A strong commitment to health and safety
- A great attitude and a willingness to be part of a team
