Bricklayer Assistant

- Assisting with laying bricks in
- Assisting with spreading mortar between
- Raking and finishing over the motar
- Mixing, pouring and spreading materials such as concrete, plaster and
- Cutting and shaping bricks using machines
- Maintains housekeeping, keeps worksite free of rubbish, keeps materials and equipment stowed in an orderly manner
- Ensure correct construction procedures are adhered to in compliance with New Zealand standards and project specifications
- Able to receive and carry out verbal and written instructions
- Ability to work as part of a team and within assigned roles
- Conserve waste of consumables and other material
- Accountable for completion of daily work assignments including the completion and signatures for work completion and quality
- Able to learn on-the-job as an on-the-job trainee
- Assists or works with other trades

- Location: Auckland
- Job type: Full-time Permanent
- Number of positions for this job: 6
- Pay rate: from $28to $30 depending on your skills
- Days required: 5-6 days/week
- Hours per week: at least 40, maximum 55hours/week

**Although onsite training will be provided so no prior experience is mandatory, the successful applicant must have one of the following**:

- Strong dedication to health and workplace safety
