Bricklayer Assistant

Elite Construction Service Limited is a construction company which provides different support and solutions for cladding system since 2016. We has expanding throughout all around Hamilton then Auckland. Now we are recruiting bricklayers/ bricklayer assistants with permanent contract, in different skill levels. Relevant work experience is preferred. We provide a great pay with wages of $28 to $30 per hour and you can work at least 40 hours and maximum of 50 hours a week. The work is in Auckland region.

**As a bricklayer, we require you to**:
1, studying plans and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures

2, erecting and dismantling restricted height scaffolding

3, sealing foundations with damp-resistant materials and spreading layers of mortar to serve as base and binder for blocks using trowels

4, laying bricks in rows, designs and shapes, and spreading mortar between joints

5, embedding blocks in mortar and removing excess mortar

6, checking vertical and horizontal alignment

7, cutting, shaping and polishing stones and bricks using machines and hand tools, and shaping bricks to fit irregular spaces

8, repairing and maintaining bricks, cement blocks and related structures

9, designing and cutting monumental masonry and lettering
