We are a construction company. Now we need to recruit two onsite assistants for projects across the northern area, the work including formwork, interior/exterior jobs, etc.

Job Title: Onsite Assistant

Job Location: Auckland

Number of people needed: 2

Days Required Needs to be available from Monday to Saturday, between 7:30am to 6:30pm

May need to be available on public holiday

Hourly Rate $23.50-$25.00

Hours per Week Guaranteed hours of work per week: Minimum 30 hours. Up to 50 hours.

Key Responsibilities:
1. General assistance to different types of work:
**Carpentry work in：**
- Helping building wooden or part wooden items that form part of buildings (such as windows and stairs) both internal and external
- Helping building additional associated wooden items, such as furniture

**Painting work in：**
- Erecting scaffolding and ladders, and placing drop sheets to protect adjacent areas from paint splattering
- Setting up the job sites and preparing the layouts
- Repairing surfaces by removing old paint and wallpaper, fixing woodwork, filling holes and cracks
- Loading or unloading or moving construction and painting materials, tools and equipment & heavy lifting around the building site

**General work in**:

- Digging holes, and trench
- Removing rubbish from construction

2. Be able to assist with storage, lifting, fetching supplies, unloading, and checking deliveries

3. Be able to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair

4. Report health and safety-related problems/failures

5. Any other reasonable tasks required by the leader.

Requirements for the applicants:
1. At least 1 year of relevant New Zealand work experience is required.

2. You will need to attend the on-site interview and demonstrate your skills

3. On-job training will be provided where necessary

4. Regular and reliable attendance

5. You must be physically fit to the work

6. Contribute towards the smooth running of the team

7. Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures, including those relating to hygiene, respect for other team members, timekeeping, and flexibility
