Piano Teacher

**The role will include, but not limited to**:

- Teach piano lessons to students including music theories and demonstrate performance skills.
- Instruct students on performance and give them constructive advice and feedback.
- Plan, prepare and evaluate lessons, activities and adopt appropriate teaching strategies and methods to meet individual needs.
- Conduct consultation/interview lessons.
- Help students in preparing for performance and examinations/assessments.
- Develop learning and teaching associated resources that stimulate students’ interests and meet the needs of students at different skill levels.
- Provide a safe, secure, and stimulating environment in which consideration is given to all the students’ individual development.
- Utilise positive and supportive behaviour management strategies that are conducive to effective learning and teaching.
- Maintain good communications with parents to support ongoing practice and learning.
- Accompany students to attend performances, and competitions if needed.
- Actively attend relevant courses, seminars, webinars, workshops., etc for continued professional development if required.
- Fulfill other duties as reasonably required by the Director.

**Hours of Work：30 hours per week**

**Requirements**:

- A NZQF Level 6 or higher qualification in music/music performance is required.
- A qualification with a specialisation in piano/piano performance is preferable.
- Attention to details and a hard-working attitude.
- Excellent work ethic and great time management.
- Excellent communication skills
- Team player and passion for the industry
