Holiday Park Duty Manager

Our Busy Holiday Park located in Lower Hutt is looking to employ an On-Site Duty Manager. We seek an existing industry worker already residing in New Zealand to undertake this permanent full-time position.
You would be employed to assist the park owners in the successful day to day running of the business. Essentially the Duty Manager role is to manage the day-to-day operations in the absence of the owners.
Key skills and experience required:
- Confidant and clear communicator in one to one and group situations
- Calm and friendly demeanour when dealing with guests
- Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly navigate Reservation Management Systems
- Strong New Zealand tourism general knowledge
- Familiarity with staff recruitment, training, and management practices including orientation
- Familiarity with Health and Safety best practice
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in accommodation-based business
- Strong understanding of the connection between Reception, Housekeeping and Maintenance.
A hands-on approach and understanding of outdoor grounds and maintenance is essential. This is a 14-hectare property with a strong outdoor team. Whilst working in this department of the park is not essential to the position advertised a thorough understanding of how it works and its connectivity to reception and housekeeping is.

**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
