About the role:
- We are looking for qualified or unqualified Telecommunications Technician Assistants/Crew Member to join our Telecommunication. A Telecommunications Assistant/Crew Member is an entry-level position in the telecommunications industry, which involves digging trenches, laying cables, installing, repairing, and maintaining telecommunications equipment and infrastructure such as cables, towers, and other related equipment under the supervision and guidance of the Lead Technician. The job requires physical stamina and the ability to work in all weather conditions.

Minimum guaranteed hours are 30 hours per week.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for digging trenches, laying cables, and backfilling trenches, concrete slot cutting.
- Assist in installing various telecommunications equipment, including antennas, cables, and other related devices, and help to ensure that they are properly placed and secured.
- Help to maintain and repair telecommunications equipment, which may involve climbing towers, working at heights, and handling heavy equipment.
- Assist in testing and troubleshooting various telecommunications equipment and infrastructure to ensure that they are functioning properly.
- Assist other workers, such as electricians and technicians, in the installation and repair of telecommunication systems.
- Follow safety procedures, policies, and instructions from the Lead Technician rigorously to avoid accidents while working with high-voltage equipment, heavy machinery, and at elevated heights.
- Ensure tools and equipment used in telecommunication work are in good working order and report any issues to supervisors.
- To install and configure CCTV Systems
- To install and configure Alarm systems(Paradox,DSC)
- To install and configure Access control (ICT, Inner Range)
- Must have Experience with Data Cabling
- Have some experience in IT/Networking to Setup Wi-Fi Solutions for Business
- Able to work under pressure and unsupervised.
- To provide technical support over the phone or by visiting the client's premises.

Experience and Requirements:
- We are looking for someone who:
- Has substantial experience in Telecommunication, Security and ICT Industry
- Can self-manage and is a solutions person.
- Simply, have all the accoutrements of a great employee - A full driver's license, great attitude, and a team player.
- Highest regard for the health and safety of everyone on site, and the public.
- Able to use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and mobile elevated work platforms.
- Use health and safety equipment including PPE
- Working in hard-to-reach places including heights, in ceilings and under floors
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral

Required Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.

**Salary**: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
