Our Tauranga is currently seeking an experienced Technical Director to become an integral member of our Northern Water Business team.

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Develop good business relationships with existing and potential clients to ensure required project outcomes are met and client satisfaction is maintained at a high standard
- Develop new and repeat business within the northern region and the wider NZ as required - including preparation of proposals and bids for projects
- Proven project management, investigation, design and implementation of a range of stormwater, water and wastewater projects and coordination of multidisciplinary projects
- Provide guidance to junior and senior design engineers on projects and be able to train and mentor them
- Provide technical input and leadership to projects - Including review QA/QC of project deliverables as Project Director
- Keep knowledge and competencies current, guide staff and contribute to GHD’s technical service lines
- Preparation of high-quality reports, correspondence and other deliverables
- Business development; develop new and repeat business from other GHD OC’s (internal client).

**What you will bring to the team**:

- Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Extensive experience across a range of project types requiring stormwater, water and wastewater design deliverables.
- Excellent working knowledge of the Australian and New Zealand Standards and Code of Practise.
- Previous experience with Earned Value accounting advantageous.
- Good computer skills including Microsoft office suite.
- Promote our values of safety, teamwork, integrity and respect.
- Excellent report writing skills.
