**About the Role**

In this important role, you will take responsibility for leadership of health analytics insights across the region, and nationally for specific initiatives. You will develop and deliver a responsive, high quality analytical insights service, aligned to national strategy and approaches.

You will be responsible for leading a “team of teams” with analytics staff spread across the region, together supporting health service planning, improvement and performance monitoring. Your teams will contribute to better, more equitable health outcomes, by providing actionable insights, exposing variation and identifying areas of opportunity. You will develop and implement strategy to create a regionally connected analytics service in close collaboration with health service delivery leaders, clinicians and data and digital colleagues.

You will understand data pipelines sufficiently to diagnose issues and work closely with data management teams to solve problems.

Health Analytics within Planning, Funding and Outcomes is committed to using our health data assets for planning, designing and delivering better, more equitable health services to the people of New Zealand.

**About you**

You will be a highly motivated and visible leader who can demonstrate at least 7 years leadership and experience in managing diverse functions and teams, preferably with teams spread across geographical boundaries and managing a wide range of stakeholders.

You will have a successful track record in delivering and supporting change, performance development, and collaborating effectively at senior levels.
