**About the Role**

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team in the Respiratory service providing administrative support to the Research (clinical trials) and ACCESS portfolios.

As a successful administrator, you will be key in providing administrative support for teams in the Respiratory service. The successful applicant must be methodical in approach, highly organised, flexible, and have a desire to be a supportive team member. This is essential to allow the teams to get on with the management and delivery to meet quality health outcomes by taking on board and executing their administrative workload.

Waikato Hospital is a major regional hospital in Hamilton and is a leading tertiary teaching hospital located in Hamilton, New Zealand, serving as the regional hub for the Midland area, which includes the Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Lakes, Tairawhiti, and Taranaki districts. With around 722 inpatient beds, 22 operating theatres, and a dedicated outpatient clinic and procedure centre, Waikato Hospital provides comprehensive hospital services, including radiology, laboratory, and pharmacy. As a major teaching hospital with affiliations to the University of Auckland, University of Waikato, and Wintec, it offers a dynamic learning environment and access to research opportunities. The hospital is equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment facilities located on the Waiora Waikato Hospital Campus, with both road and air ambulance support.

**About you**

Ideally, we are looking for someone with:

- A relevant graduate and post-graduate qualification
- Experience in an administrative role, including research programs/trials would be an advantage
- Experience in financial documentation, invoicing/accounts
- Proven ability to cope well under pressure in a busy environment
- Able to cope with change, initiate change or meet new challenges and show flexibility
- Able to work within a team environment as well as automatously
- Able to maintain professional standard and high levels of accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A strong customer service drive, being willing to help or problem solve wherever required.
- An understanding of a healthcare environment
- A proactive approach and willingness to take on new tasks or challenges.
- The ability to effectively manage conflicting demands on your time and make decisions in pressure situations.
- A understanding of the entire Microsoft Office suite. Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
