We are seeking an experienced administrator to join our team within the Theatre and Perioperative services.
About the Role
DOSA - Day of Surgery Administration is an area that prepares patients for theatre and cares for patients in the post-operative area. We are looking for a dedicated and conscientious administrator who can work in a busy, dynamic and changing environment.
As an experienced administrator you will play a crucial role in supporting the Operating Theatre team. In this role you will be working closely and collaboratively with various team leaders, from nursing to medical staff to assist with all aspects of administration service. Your efforts will, ensure seamless communication and coordination across all aspects of the surgical process, contributing to the efficient and effective running of the Operating Theatres.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, demonstrating excellent organisational skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
The role is to provide administrative support to the Theatre team. The person will work very closely with the team leader to help with aspects of the administration services. You will be required to be a team player who is open to learning all aspects of the role.
This is a varied role suited to someone who is able to work well in a team environment, prioritise workloads, and enjoys the challenges of working in an ever-changing environment.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Provide efficient and effective reception service
- Communicate clearly with colleagues and patients alike
- Ensure that all administrative tasks are completed promptly and accurately
- Support staff across the department with technical elements of patient management systems

About the Team/ Service
Day of Surgery Administration (DOSA) plays a critical role in ensuring a smooth surgical journey for patients. We are responsible for preparing patients for theatre, coordinating all pre-operative processes, and providing post-operative care. As a close-knit team, we work collaboratively with carious specialties to entire the highest level of patient care throughout the surgical process.
Our focus is always on patient safety, comfort, and wellbeing. We pride ourselves on fostering a supportive environment where teamwork and communication are key. We strive to deliver exceptional service in fast paced setting, with every team member contributing to the seamless flow of care.
About you
Skills and experience youll need to be considered for the role:
- Possess excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills
- Be accurate, with great attention to detail
- Adaptable to changing demands and able to problem solve under pressure.
- Be a team player
- Have a strong customer service focus
- Proven and demonstrated experience in an administrative role
- Microsoft Office computer skills.
- Experience in an administrative role, preferably in a healthcare setting, is essential, with preference given to experience in a theatre setting
