Mō te tūranga mahi | About the role
This is a new role that sits within the Climate Group, reporting to the Manager Delivery and Operations. The main purpose of this role is to drive excellence in execution, and to ensure our ways of working are efficient, maximising people's time to focus on value adding work.
You will need to build strong internal relationships and partnerships, working across the Climate group and the Ministry, to identify pain points, understand user needs, and develop and implement new ways of working that will delight our internal ‘customers'.
The role will be varied and fast paced and requires someone to identify process improvement opportunities, collaborate with key stakeholders to develop human centred solutions and sympathetically manage the changes to the way we work.

**Responsibilities also include**:

- Coordinating and contributing to the group wide planning, performance, and reporting requirements.
- Leading the Climate group's ministerial support, including responses to correspondence, information requests and parliamentary questions, in collaboration with other Climate teams and Ministerial Services Team.

While there are some core deliverables, there is also lots of scope for you to shape your work programme to deliver where you think the greatest impacts can be achieved.

- personal drive, enthusiasm, curiosity, and a can-do attitude
- an ability to set priorities and to achieve deadlines and project and programme outputs
- excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- knowledge or understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi and te ao Maori and commitment to developing your cultural capability and capacity in this space
- confidence and capability to facilitate group sessions with customers/users
- design skills to develop professional, creative, visual documents (desirable).

Whānuitanga Utu ā-Tau | Salary range
Salary range for this role is $114,872 to $139,510 pa. Appointment within this range will be based on skills and experience.
