New World Stonefields has an exciting opportunity for a talented and results-driven achiever to lead our high-performing Seafood Department.

In this role you will be responsible for maintaining food safety records, maximizing sales and achieving profitability. Effectively leading the team, ensuring the best quality seafood is available, while maintaining food safety records. Providing knowledgeable advice and great service to our customers.

This will suit someone with leadership experience working with fresh seafood in a customer service business.

**The roles requires**:

- Strong Leadership skills with experience
- Seafood experience and knowledge
- A customer focused person
- Enjoy being hands on getting involved with the team
- An understanding of Food Safety and HACCP procedures
- Physically fit for some heavy lifting
- Excellent communication skills
- Good command of written and spoken English
- The willingness to work at least one day in the weekend
- Stock control & ordering
- Basic SAP skills

**Duties Include**:

- Help to ensure the department is presented to the highest standards as well as keeping it clean, tidy and attractively merchandised.
- Undertake appropriate seafood specific tasks (e.g. preparing fresh in-store value items for the day like salads, mignons and kebabs.)
- Ensure appropriate stock control and stock taking procedures are in place
- Help to ensure the shop is full fresh and appealing throughout the hours of trade, all food safety practices are adhered to and that stock levels are controlled appropriately.
- Ensure all appropriate signage are displayed correctly.
- Handle customer enquiries and complaints appropriately and ensure effective interactions with customers at all times.

**To be considered for this role, you will need to bring with you the following**:

- FMCG, supermarket or food retail experience
- At least 1-2 years’ supervisory experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritise and deal effectively with a number of tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to respond quickly to changing situations and work well under pressure while maintaining individual and team effectiveness.
- Strong customer service orientation
- Quality focused with a passion for continuous improvement
- Attention to detail, planning, organization, and daily delivery requirements
- Is flexible and able to work across all days of the week when required.
- Physically fit and able to fulfil the requirements of the role.
