Electrical Technician

**About the role**

Reporting to the Electrical Unit Leader and primarily working on the Devonport Naval Base (at times Whenuapai), this positon primarily involves installing, testing and set to work of ‘systems’. Further to this, there is abundant trouble shooting, repair system calibration and the requirement to provide technical advice for a range of industrial and marine systems and equipment.

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Carry out installation and repair activity on electrical equipment
- Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports for customers
- Identify, develop and lead improvement opportunities
- Promote and abide by HSE awareness and procedures

**About You**

To be successful in this position, you will have a National Certificate in Engineering (Electronics or equivalent) and hold an Electrical Practising License. You are proficient in use of Diagnostic Tools and Test Equipment, able to formulate technical reports. You enjoy collaborating with your team and take care to protect yourself and others to always work safely.
