**About the role**

We are looking for a **Weapons Technician** to join our high performing, **Auckland** based team at our Birkenhead workshop.

In this role, you will perform weapon and equipment repairs and maintenance work in an efficient, safe, cost effective and quality-based manner. You will also provide technical advice to staff and customers as well as peak load support to other units as required.

**Role responsibilities will include**
- Installation, repair, overhaul and testing of all naval weaponry and ancillary equipment
- Diagnostics, testing and troubleshooting of all equipment
- Adhere to H&S, client and maintenance standards
- Interpret diagrams, construction drawings and specialist documentation
- Assist with deployment team preparations and planning; some remote work may be required.

**About you**

You will have extensive, hands-on experience working with weapons of all sizes. You will pride yourself on your attention to detail and ability to collaborate as well as lead from the front.You will hold a level 4 (or higher) certificate in Electro Technology, Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical or equivalent.

Based at our Kauri Point site, this role will be integral to our ability to deliver our objectives to the customer.
