Mō te tūnga | The role
Opportunities have arisen for experienced Executive Assistants to support the General Managers in Data System Capability and Data System Policy team. As well as the daily expectations of the role you will work closely with the Senior Leadership team on several interesting projects and assignments.
As an EA, the key purpose of your role is to provide high-level support to the General Manager. You will achieve this by enabling effective time management, fostering relationships with key stakeholders, and supporting directorate communications.
They are fast-paced and dynamic roles. You will keep the General Manager and the team informed and prepared for meetings, deadlines and anything else that comes to them. To succeed in this role, you will be an effective relationship builder, have a high level of political nous, and be comfortable engaging with senior executives internally and externally.
This role will see you working across and alongside the Senior Leadership team as well as the internal EA team, as well as external stakeholders.

**To be successful in this role, you will**:

- Have a proven track record of experience and success in providing EA support to senior leaders.
- Be highly collaborative, have excellent time management and the ability to juggle multiple priorities, be proactive, and have the confidence to manage a range of stakeholder relationships at all levels.
- Fully support your leaders to work at their optimum, anticipating their needs before they even know it.
- Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as be computer literate in the use of MS Office products.
- A master of the calendar and all associated activities.
- Knowledge/familiarity or a commitment to learning/understanding Te Ao Māori, in order to understand and contribute meaningful work and outcomes for Māori communities.
- Previous experience working in government agencies would be beneficial but not essential.
