J&B Randhawa Transport Limited is seeking Class 4 truck driver based in Auckland. This is a full-time permanent employment (minimum 40 guaranteed hours from Monday to Friday between 5am and 7pm). Responsibilities will include:
Your key responsibilities
- Carry out transportation of general freight including dangerous goods, bulk deliveries and pickups from freight companies **Deliver and pickup goods from the freight companies with an ability to load and unload the truck using lifting and tipping devices, if required.** Carry out daily pre-checks of the vehicle and report any faults immediately **Report any problems, incidents/ accidents or customer complaints immediately** Secure the loads using load binders, chains and straps to prevent loss and damage of the goods **Adhere to Land Transport Safety Authority rules and regulations and keep a logbook of the hours worked** Keep records of, and check invoices for, goods you deliver/pickup **Carry out any other duties as requested by the Managing Director or designated Manager**

You will also be responsible to:

- Observe safe work practices and rules relative to your work and the company will diligently enforce these rules. **Adhere to fatigue guidelines** Actively contribute to hazard identification and management **Participate in health and safety training** Adopt safe work practices

Qualifications & experience
- At least 1 year work experience driving a curtain sider truck or similar truck **NZ Class 4 Drivers License and reliable transportation** Experience with tail lift pickups and deliveries **Forklift License and Dangerous Goods License** Knowledge of how to secure loads using load binders, chains and strops **Must pass Drug and Alcohol Test** Must pass Ministry of Justice or Police Check **Must pass 2x work references checks** Self-motivated and the ability to work to strict deadlines **Good communication skills and a can-do attitude** Good time management skills

The pay range for this position is between $30 per hour to $32 per hour based upon experience.

Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift

Licence/Certification:

- Drivers Licence (preferred)
- Class 4 Truck Licence (preferred)
