The New Zealand Customs Service is seeking an energetic and flexible person to support the Corporate Services team in Auckland This role will be based at the Auckland Customhouse, in the CBD.

This role is a permanent full-time position, working with a small friendly team of other Corporate Services Officers and hours of work are between 08.00am - 4.30pm, Monday to Friday (inclusive).

The Corporate Services team is part of the wider Enterprise Services Group and is responsible for providing sustainable, efficient and effective corporate services and infrastructure support, within Customs.

As a Corporate Services Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and administrative functions as required by Customs. You will have a client centric focus, with a professional attitude, high integrity, a calm manner, and sound judgement, and you will ensure quality standards are maintained. Although this role is based at the Auckland CBD occupancy, you will be required to work at the other locations, on occasion.

This role is in a dynamic and fast paced team, who value and support each other, however you will also work autonomously. This suits someone who can work with resilience in an agile environment. It offers variety and requires a component of activity that would suit someone not wanting to be fully desk-based and is able to manage light lifting and standing. This role will allow opportunity to build strong work relationships across Customs business units, nationally.

**Key responsibilities to this role will be**:

- Arranging and hosting contractors, for the purpose of building services repairs and maintenance.
- Purchasing goods and services, including obtaining quotes, approvals, purchase order preparation and goods receipting.
- Uniform ordering, issue and record keeping
- Mail and courier distributions.
- Physical security system maintenance and programming.
- Undertaking general administrative tasks relating to the Corporate
- Communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Relevant record keeping and compliance governance
