Ventia has an exciting opportunity for a hardworking and motivated individual who is passionate about Environment and Sustainability to join their SHEQ Team as an Environmental Advisor.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

This role is permanent part time (3 days per week) and is responsible for driving Environmental and Sustainability initiatives that support both internal and client objectives and targets.

Reporting to the SHEQ Manager, the Environmental Advisor is also responsible for ensuring that optimal sustainability performance and reporting in compliance with legislative and contractual requirements are followed

They will provide support in both office and site-based operational settings.

This role is based out of our Karangahape Road office but can potentially work out of our other depots in Rosedale and Mt Wellington.

**Other Key Accountabilities**
- Implement, monitor, and continually improve the Environmental Management System in relation to Environment and Sustainability
- Update, implement and monitor relevant strategies and action plans to achieve the sustainability objectives
- Provide consistent, accurate, and reliable sustainability advice to the business with support from the broader SHEQ Team
- Develop sustainability awareness programs and ensure the content is delivered
- Ensure sustainability reporting is in line with legislation and contractual requirements
- Incorporate sustainable practices through business processes and champion sustainability initiatives in line with Ventia’s Environment Strategy

**ABOUT YOU**

They will have a minimum three years experience in a similar role with emphasis on Environment.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to problem solve and prioritise work loads; high professional standards, and strong attention to detail are key to your success in this role.
