Due to business growth, we have a new opportunity for a Structural Team Leader to join our team in Christchurch. We are looking for a talented team lead to help support and mentor a team of engineers, within our larger structural team.

**About the role**

Working closely with our Structural Manager, you will lead the delivery of projects, as well as provide specialised technical expertise to your team.

Working with your team of engineers to maintain client relationships, preparing proposals and preliminary designs, supervising detailed designs, on-site investigations, monitoring and reporting on the progress of project delivery and technical development.
- Working closely with our established clients, managing our growing key clients in the region, ensuring we deliver cost effective and high-quality design.
- Preparation of proposals and monitoring progress through to delivery and invoicing.
- Manage all size projects, including cost estimates, writing fees, tender submissions, technical documentation, project scheduling, meeting deadlines and budgets.
- Maintain strong working relationships with all clients, stakeholders, suppliers and contractors, and internal teams.
- Actively contribute to the development and implementation of overall company strategies.
- Create a high-performance focused culture through personal leadership, teamwork, coaching and mentoring.

**About you**
- Qualified with a BEng (Hons) in Structural Engineering, or equivalent.
- CPEng or working towards would be an advantage.
- Professional engineering experience in NZ, with proven seismic experience to NZ Codes and strong technical knowledge.
- Understand risk, be commercially astute and place a high regard on client satisfaction.
- Experience in leading and managing the delivery of structural engineering projects.
- Strong leadership skills, mentoring team members, being a role model for promoting high work standards to deliver client projects on time and at high quality.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a positive drive and resilience.
- Solution focussed, a good problem solver.
- Enjoy working in a team environment and communicating with a wide range of people.
