**About the role**

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated leader to point our team as the Curriculum Lead - Puna Reo. The primary focus of this role is to provide dynamic curriculum leadership, modelling professional conduct and ensuring operational excellence, in line with the educational standards set out by Te Wananga I Aotearoa and our stakeholders.

Some of your key responsibilities will be:

- Develop and implement culturally reflective curriculum strategies for Tamariki.
- Provide guidance and feedback to teaching staff, enhancing teaching practices and program delivery.
- Introduce and support staff in planning, assessment and evaluation (PAE) processes.
- Monitor and document tamariki’s learning progress through profiles and assessments.
- Engage and consult with whānau regarding tamariki’s learning goals.
- Exemplify positive work practices and Ngā Uara values to Kaiako and whānau.

**About you**
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education.
- A Practising Certificate, issued by the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand.
- Experience in centre management and administration, with great judgement and decision-making skills.
- Conversational fluency in Te Reo Māori
- Experience working in marau Māori curriculum delivery.
- Experience working with Tamariki in Early Childhood Education or new entrants.
- Experience working in a diverse team environment.
- A sound understanding of Māori values, culture and tikanga would be an advantage.
- As this position is classed as a Core Worker under the Children’s Act, you will need to pass a safety check under the Children’s Act 2014.

As a kaupapa Māori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga) is desirable.
